| Double Battles |

I am not that great with double battles yet but I am giving my Jumpluff a test run. It works best with my Empoleon with Earthquake, Steel Wing, Surf (Jumpluff barely takes any damage btw), and Drill Peck. I mean, I am pretty much squeaking by with pure luck most times.
I don't have my other Pokemon trained yet. I tried Magcargo with Sunny Day, Flamethrower, Recover, and something else I forget and it sucked. It was so slow and never got the Sunny Day in. Boooo. Maybe if I had two Jumpluffs. Those fuckers are fast. I could have the other one with Sunny Day and some weird TMs & Protect.

My Pokedex reads 403 now.
And I thought this was funny. My husband was training his team in the Victory Road cave and I think he was trying to exit to go heal and a wild battle started. So I hear, "Ugh! Who the fuck let a wild Onix on this bridge?!"
Which leads me to my next random comment: I love how in the anime, whenever Ash & co. come across a rickety bridge that is falling apart they all express reservations and then proceed to ALL CROSS THE BRIDGE AT THE SAME TIME. Wtg team!

I haven't updated this thing in awhile. There isn't any major news but here are some things:
- I have nicknamed myself the good fairy of the GTS and about 1-2x a day I will deposit a Lvl 1 Feebas with a Ganlon Berry (grown from the one I got on my Jirachi :)) and the Pokerus to the GTS. I nickname them all my husband's 10 digit cell phone number and he does the same with the Pokemon he puts on the GTS. We think it's lame that you can't contact the person you got the Pokemon from so hopefully soon someone will call while we are actually around. I am now working on breeding Charmanders so once I get tired of Feebas it will be Charmanders on the GTS with the Ganlon and the PKRS.
- I gave up on trying to chain for shinies. I think I gave that up like, the same night I posted the entry about wanting a shiny Trapinch.
- One of my longterm projects is training up a team of double battlers for the Battle Tower. I don't have very much experience with double battles so this will be fun. Jason (husband) has done lots of double battles on Colosseum and knows more strategy than I do. I wanted a Levitate/Earthquake matchup so I decided to train up a Hoppip I got from the GTS. It's a Jumpluff now and I've never played with one so it's fun.
Yeah that's about it.

I masterballed a Cresselia yesterday. I had another one because we bought Pearl used 2 days ago and jacked all the good items from OT Rick, the previous owner of the game. Thank you, Rick!

I figured out the reason why everyone hates Bidoof. It's because its name sounds exactly like that awful beeping sound when your Pokemon's HP gets into the red.

Today I had the following conversation with my husband. (Background info: I played Diamond first and then he restarted my game with my permission but I took over because I am mean and he always teases me about it.)
Me: Ok I have to blahblah... Wanna pick some berries for me and replant some in the soil?
Husband: Ok
Me: Really? Okay. I don't care what you plant; even if I have one of something go ahead and plant it.
Him: What are you growing berries for anyway?
Me: Ummm... Well there is a girl in Floaroma Town who trades accessories for berries...
Him: ...
Me: Accessories are like... Well you know in the Gen. 3 contests where the first round you introduce your Pokemon and you get some hearts? Ya well in Gen. 4 they make you put accessories on your Pokemon and THAT'S what determines your hearts. And my Shinymilotic can't win the Master Rank in the Super Contests and I totally ran out of time last time. You have to put TWENTY ITEMS on it in sixty seconds...
At that point he cut me off and we started discussing about how neither of us have ever worn 20 items at once, including deodorant and we spent about a half hour coming up with a list of 20 items I could possibly wear at once but it included 3 different eyeshadows. Anyway!
This all has a point.
So after that I went to Jubilife City and had him dress up my Shinymilotic for the painting that the hiker dude puts on the wall in the TV station. He wanted to call it "Milotic's Fart" and was upset that he couldn't type a title for the painting.

I just went ahead and purchased Platinum because of the Secret Key event. I will buy a second DS much much later. My current game of Diamond was supposed to be my husband's but I totally took it over once he started classes again and so I promised him that Platinum would be all his and I wouldn't touch it and that I am super jealous. Which is all true.

So I decided to plant berries and I've been on this berry growing spree for a couple of days now. I entered my shiny Milotic into contests after Move Relearnering some crappy moves. It has a cute nature so I relearned cute moves. For some reason its stats are maxed out on everything which leads me to believe further that it's a clone or in some other way illegitimate. I am not counting it, or anything else from the GTS (aside from Pokemon from the pokemon LJ community or people I've communicated with online) in my Pokedex.
Ok so I'm re-walking every route to make sure I didn't miss anything and I missed like a billion things and all of a sudden that stupid fleer from the lake MESPRIT shows up and it's like 2:30 in the morning and I'm about to go to bed so I lobbed my master ball. I wanted to nickname it Master Balled but it was too many letters so I named it Mr. Ball. Close enough. Then I saved and fell asleep.
I withdrew every Pokemon from My Pokemon Ranch because my bag was overflowing with held items that were just taking up room. I distributed several of those items and then I marked all Pokemon holding an item with the square marking. I think I am going to eventually order my boxes by National Dex number, after having a couple called "Inbox" and "Party" of course. Right now they are all messed up and out of date.
I think that's it. Oh yeah my shiny illegitimate Milotic (SIM we will call it because its nickname is a bunch of symbols in an Asiatic language I don't know) has won all but the Master rank Super Contests. Yay! She might be the one I end up getting the Gorgeous Royal Ribbon for. I have almost 600k now. While sorting my Items section of my bag I finally just sold every evolutionary stone I had after distributing some to the Pokemon they correspond with, or close enough. I gave both Moon Stones I had to a Wigglytuff and an Igglybuff. I gave several Thunderstones to Pikachus and a Pichu. I gave one Fire Stone to a Ninetales. I think I sold the rest. I figure if I need one that badly I can just dig underground. I haven't been down there in ages and I always find loads of those.
I think that's about it.

Is it stupid that I am saving up my money so that I can buy a Gorgeous Royal Ribbon, for 999,999 Pokedollarz, for my starter? =\ It already has the two other ribbons from the syndicate and I hate not completing something. But at the same time holy crap why.

So I put one of my 3 Dittos on the GTS yesterday and asked for a Milotic.
I checked the GTS right now and I have received a Lvl 70 shiny Milotic. It's probably cloned or something though. I mean why else would someone trade their shiny Milotic for a Lvl 29 Ditto?
It's so pretty. ^_^

I also forgot to mention that I failed to catch any shinies but I didn't try too hard. I kept getting distracted. Like... "Oh there's Smeargle on this route? I don't have one of those!"
And ditto to the... Ditto.
I WILL get a shiny Porygon. Porygon is my favorite Pokemon.

I caught a Ditto. 3 actually. I also received a Feebas from the GTS. Thank you to Mark, whoever you are. I forget what I even put on the GTS. Now I have a Ditto there and I think I requested a Milotic. LOL. I wonder if it'll go.
What else... Oh I am currently going town to town going into all the houses I never went in and talking to the people I never bothered to talk to the first time around. I am getting items.

So my Kricketune chain broke at 27. I said I sucked at chaining. But I am getting better and I know the pattern now and the only reason it broke was because I didn't go into the farthest patch of grass from me. Anyway I am trying to get Porygon or Eevee to be my Pokemon of the day. 5 soft resets later and it's not so but I'll keep trying. Porygon is one of my favorite Pokemon and its shiny looks pretty neat. But a shiny Eevee would be great too.

After Kricketune I want to try and find a shiny Ponyta because its flames are blue! I'm not sure if I will nickname it Flampon. Perhaps Blue Flampon. This is if I find one obviously.

So I run into a Smeargle, level 17, try to get level 52 Altaria ("Q-tip Bird") to sing it to sleep. Sing misses. Smeargle sketches Sing, puts Altaria to sleep. I blow blue flute, Altaria uses Sing, hits, I switch to a level 16 Numel, Smeargle wakes up and proceeds to sing Numel to sleep like ELEVENTY BILLION TIMES. I am Tackling and Embering this fucker and it's in the red. I am lobbing balls. It is not going in. It struggles itself (after sleeping my Numel about a billion more times) and faints. FAIL.
Next Smeargle. I don't use sing as my first attack, lol. Instead I use Tackle I think, it sketches that but then the same thing with it being totally uncatchable happens. At this point I am getting frustrated because I'm wasting balls as if this thing were a level 50 legendary. It struggles and faints itself. WTF.
Third Smeargle eventually went into the ball but holy crap. That was really annoying.
At the moment I have a chain of Kricketunes going. My second longest chain thusfar. I suck at chaining so I am only at like 23 or so now. Why Kricketune? I have no idea as I hate bug Pokemon. I had to put my game down (it's charging at least) to take a break because sometimes I get too complacent with chaining and then mess up. Hmm. I guess shiny Kricketune looks neat.
The reason I hate bug Pokemon is because they never learn any good attacks. However it seems Gen 4 added some bug attacks that look halfway decent but before that it was crap like Silver Wind which is power 60 and PP 5? Seriously? If a move is PP 5 its power better be 120 or something.

A post in the pokemon community made me want to spend the next couple of days chaining for shinies. =\ That isn't pertinent to my dex at all.
After looking at a large image containing all the shiny sprites from Diamond and Pearl I decided I will go after a shiny Trapinch. But then I remembered that I can barely see the grass shake in that effing sandstorm... I just think shiny Flygon looks so awesome.
Shiny Drifloon is so badass but I can't chain for that. :(
Maybe I will go after a Lotad.
Actually I just realized I don't have a Smeargle and it's available with the Poke Radar so I guess I will be going after a shiny Smeargle for now. :)

Yesterday I restarted Sapphire. I obtained my female Treecko. I also discovered that I can't leave my DS on with it flipped shut and then come back in a day and play Sapphire. I just never put two and two together that my Sapphire, which was made for a Game Boy Advance, would not have the same battery save mode that Diamond does. DURRR. So I left it on the kitchen counter for 3 hours and I came back to a red battery light.
I need a printable Pokedex and I can never find one. My husband had to actually create one for me the last time I was trying to complete the Gen 3 National Dex on the VBA. It took him a long time to fit it all on one page and he included tiny little sprites and the type(s) of Pokemon.
Every time I play any sort of game I always keep hand written notes. The latest one was a list of items in my bag and which Pokemon I should give them to. I kind of dislike that you can't store items in your PC in Gen 4. Also I am annoyed that I am holding onto some incense that evolve a Pokemon that I do not have so I feel obligated to keep it in my bag now.
The other day my husband was doing double battles in Colosseum and he said, "Wanna see a one KO Leech Seed?" So I looked up at the screen and was confused for a minute until I saw a Shedinja. Then I laughed and that was indeed what happened.
